hi I tried doing that a number of times with mine and it never worked so I have given up using it all together.
I've used that programme, but I've noticed messenger isn't the same. I can't add contacts and it doesn't use the same sounds, it used too.
mine uses the exact same sounds it used to.
i haven't had to add anybody yet.
well i tried to send a text message but that wont go thru, probably cause they want you to use skype to pay for sending SMS messages.
i have no problems adding people though .

I dunno have you tried an uninstall and reinstall?
what version of windows and messenger are you using?
The reason the text doesn't work, is remember, the person you are texting has to have signed up to receive them via messenger. If they have not, it doesn't go.
It also will not go to certen cellular providers, like Cricket.
tha'ts odd. i just used to message her and it'd work without her having to sign up with messenger.
She signed up. It ask for your cell number and such things, so I'll bet she just answered the questions. Smile.
People just usually go along to get along, so to speak, and don't relize how much info they give out.
